Welcome to the King’s College Hospital Nurses’ League website. 2024 is our centenary year and we are so proud of our League which continues to work hard for all our members as well as current nursing staff.
The founding aims of our League still remain relevant and important to us today and the website is one way by which we help to keep members in touch with one another and the wider King’s community. We continue to send out an annual Journal full of news and other articles of interest, and more recently we have sent occasional email newsletters and over recent months have been inviting members to meet together on Zoom which has helped ease the isolation of lockdown for many. We have a well established Facebook page and you can also find us on Twitter.
The work of the Benevolent Fund and the Educational Grants Trust enables us to offer support to nurses both retired and still active in nursing – and if you or anyone you know would benefit from these funds please do encourage them to get in touch with us. Full details of these funds can be found by clicking the links above.
We welcome new members – they are the life blood of our organisation. Please do invite any King’s nurses you know to consider joining us. Details on our membership page.
We held our the Annual Reunion and AGM in the Weston Education Centre at King’s on Saturday 13th May 2023. We had a lovely day with an extremely interesting talk about the King’s Sierra Leone Partnership which the League have been pleased to support financially for the last few years. It was a shame more members were unable to join us, due to industrial action on the railways, but fortunately we had already made the decision to film both the morning lecture and the chapel service. The link to these recordings is on our Annual Reunion & AGM 2023 page. There will also be a full report of the day in next year’s Journal.
Please do get in touch with us if we can be of any help to you – or if you have news to share with other members.
